I Don’t Understand



I don’t understand…

Why are people happy,
when there’s so many things wrong,
Why so many things might distract you,
like the sound of the gong,
Why love is so complicated,
from the existence of Cupid,
Why do we die,
when Earth still keeps on living,
Now this is all just stupid.


I don’t understand…

Why day becomes night,
Why at the end of every tunnel there’s light,
Why night becomes day,
Why is there still hope when all might seem gray.


I don’t understand…

Why some people don’t try,
and why kids believe superheroes can fly,
Why everyone dream’s of fame,
even though the path to it can be lame,
Why is it hard to understand the true purpose of life,
and how come not many even bother too.





I don’t understand…

Why dreams are so hard to reach,
Why do all good things come to and end,
Why do some give so much but get nothing in return,
Why is it sometimes so hard to say “I’m sorry”.


But most of all I don’t understand…

How many seconds will it take to wait a while,
How much do we have to struggle to make it through,
Where can we find the ones who truly care,
and how can we endure the hate we bear,
Who are the people you can really trust,
and why in this world, fight you must.

I believe that the appropriate test for my MMP is just asking the DT teacher for any possible advices for improvement. I would know that my MMP is effective and of appropriate quality by checking the assesment form and seeing if my MMP has reached the certain criterias of a high grade. Such as: if my poem reflects a high degree of imagination and sensitivity, if there is a clear message, if the stanzas and lines consistently emphasize the theme of the poem, if the vocabulary is is appropriate if all graphics are attractive, if the information is neatly presented, if transitions / sounds are carefully used, and all the other essentials of a good multi media poem.

Content: The poem reflects a high degree of imagination and sensitivity. There is a clear message.
Organization: The stanzas and lines consistently emphasize the theme/s of the poem.
Style and Language: Usage The vocabulary is appropriate. There are very few errors in spelling, punctuation, etc.
Font choice and formatting: Font formats (size, colour, type) have been carefully chosen to enhance readability and content.
Number of words per slide: Information is concise and neatly presented on each slide.
Use of Graphics: All graphics are attractive (size, colours, clarity) and explain / reinforce the poem.
Transitions and Animations: Transitions / sounds are carefully used and add to the meaning of the poem.

Requirements and Restrictions


- Poem approved by Mrs. V!?

Yes.

- Time (min 1 min – maximum 3 min)

Lets say 3.

- Images or Video (resolution, self created, copyright)

Copyright, high resolution pictures.

- Text/Fonts (how many lines per slide, how many fonts, color of your fonts?)

Maximum 2 lines per slide. Depends on the line. Perhaps each stanza will be done with a different colored font.

- Sound ( with lyrics or without?)

Preferably without.

- Effects/ transitions (any, how many?)

Various effects suing Adobe After Effects, no transitions. After a lot of transitions the sldies become messy, so no transitions. After a slide dissapears, immediately the next one comes up.

On the internet there is an over abundance of information and true definitions of web 2.0, so just briefly in a few sentences.
  • It is the second generation of the World Wide Web, clearly after web 1.0.
  • Web 2.0 could be defined as the movement away from "plain, static, and simple" webpages to dynamic and more amazing content
  • The use of Web 2.0 aims in helping us expand creativity on the web, information sharing, and collaboration.
  • It is the "second-generation of Internet-based service". Such as social networking sites: in a way Facebook, then communication tools, various blogs, communication tools such as Skype, and many more.
